Wall shelves
Solid or pipe?
Solid wall shelves (the Mixrite SWS range) have a flat stainless steel surface that suits containers, small appliances and anything that might tip over on a rack. Pipe wall shelves (the PWS range) are made from stainless steel tube, which lets air circulate around stored items and lets drips fall through, ideal above a sink or for drying pans.
Sizes
Both styles come in widths from 600mm to 2400mm and are 300mm deep, so you can match the shelf to the bench or sink below. They mount to the wall with brackets.
Over-shelves
Over-shelves sit above a bench and add storage without taking up the work surface.
- Single tier over-shelves (SOS1 range): 900mm to 2100mm wide, 300mm deep and 450mm high.
- Double tier over-shelves (SOS2 range): 900mm to 2100mm wide, 300mm deep and 750mm high, with two levels of storage.
Installation tips
- Fix wall shelves into studs or masonry with fixings rated for the load.
- Mount shelves high enough to clear taps, splashbacks and your head when working.
- Keep heavy items on lower shelves and spread the load evenly.
- Do not mount shelves directly above cooking equipment, where heat and grease build up.
