Choosing a waffle or crepe maker
- Waffle style: standard waffle makers suit thinner waffles for cafes and desserts, while rotating Belgian waffle makers flip the plates to spread batter evenly for thick, fluffy waffles.
- Output: check waffles per hour against your busiest period. The Benchstar WB-03D makes up to 30 an hour and the WB-04A up to 20 Belgian waffles an hour.
- Plate material: cast iron holds heat well for crisp results, and non-stick coatings make release and cleaning easier.
- Crepe makers: a large round plate with even heat makes thin, consistent crepes. A warming drawer keeps finished crepes ready to fill.
- Omelette and wrap presses: cook omelettes, wraps, tortillas and flatbreads between two heated plates at the press of a button.

Waffle and crepe maker FAQs
Do these run on a normal power point?
The waffle makers and omelette press run on a standard 10 amp plug. The 3 kW DE-1E crepe maker has a larger element, so check your outlet before ordering.
What is a rotating waffle maker?
The plates turn over after the batter goes in, spreading it evenly to both sides. This gives thick Belgian waffles that are evenly cooked and crisp.
