About Neumärker

Neumärker makes waffle, jaffle and crepe equipment in Germany, with a history going back to 1894. Its waffle iron takes interchangeable plates, so one machine can make traditional waffles, waffles on a stick, cones and bowls, churros, donuts, pancakes, crepes, paninis and more. The range also includes jaffle irons, crepe skillets and poffertjes grills, built from high grade stainless steel with heavy aluminium cooking plates. Neumärker FAQs

Does the Neumärker waffle iron come with a plate?

Yes. Each waffle iron comes with one plate of your choice, which you pick on the product page. Extra plates are sold separately and swap in and out of the same base unit. If you have an older Neumärker iron, ask us to confirm a plate fits before you order.

Can the waffle iron make crepes?

Yes. Fit the crepe plate and the same base unit makes French crepes of a consistent size and thickness. If you prefer a traditional flat crepe plate, choose a single or double crepe skillet.

Should I choose a square or round jaffle iron?

Round jaffles suit chunkier fillings such as baked beans, chilli beef, pulled meats or apple pie. Square jaffles suit flatter fillings, like a toasted sandwich with ham and cheese or chicken and avocado. Both irons make four jaffles at a time.

What power do Neumärker machines need?

The waffle iron, the jaffle irons and the 50-piece poffertjes grill run on a standard 10 amp power point. The single crepe skillet needs a 15 amp power point and the double needs two. The 100-piece poffertjes grill needs two 10 amp power points. A licensed electrician can fit 15 amp outlets.
