Choosing beverage equipment

• Hot water urns: size the urn to your busiest hour. 20 and 30 litre urns come in 15 amp versions that heat faster, and 10 amp versions (WB-20/10 and WB-30/10) for sites without a 15 amp outlet.
• Slushie machines: one bowl per flavour. Slushie mixes need the right sugar content (13% to 18% for these machines) to freeze to a soft, drinkable texture.
• Juice dispensers: choose one, two or three bowls depending on how many drinks you want to offer at once.

Beverage equipment FAQs

Which hot water urn plugs into a normal power point?

The WB-10, WB-20/10 and WB-30/10 run on a standard 10 amp plug. The WB-20 and WB-30 have more powerful elements and need a 15 amp outlet.

Why does sugar content matter in a slushie machine?

Sugar lowers the freezing point of the mix. With too little sugar the drink freezes hard and strains the motor; with too much it will not freeze properly. FED's warranty on the FABIGANI machines requires a sugar content of 13% to 18%.
