Atosa BD-650 - Solid Door Chest Freezer
The Atosa BD-650 is the mid-size chest freezer in Atosa's solid-lid range: 551 litres at -18°C in a 1715mm long cabinet with a stainless steel top. With 70mm-thick insulation and a 259W rating, it is a low-running-cost way to hold bulk frozen stock for restaurants, clubs, butchers and takeaways. It holds about 100 litres more than the BD-550, while the BD-850 goes up to 660 litres.

Good to know before you buy:
- Access: the packed freezer is 1775mm long and 95 kg. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises; standard delivery doesn't include bringing it inside, up stairs or unpacking.
- Airflow: Atosa's manual recommends 75mm clearance at each side, in an indoor, well-ventilated area on level ground.
- Power: 220–240V. Give it its own outlet and don't run it on an extension cord.

Is the top stainless steel?
Yes, the BD-650 has a stainless steel top.
How do I defrost it?
It is manual defrost. When frost builds up, empty and unplug it, let the frost melt, then drain the water through the drain hole and replace the drain plugs.
Will it run in a hot storeroom?
Simco rates it for room temperatures up to 43°C. Keep the side clearances so it can shed heat.
