The largest open multideck in Bromic's range, the FHM2500-NR delivers 1629 litres of self-serve chilled display along a 2580mm run, with 5.6 square metres of display area. It is made for supermarkets, service stations and food halls that move a lot of drinks, dairy and packaged food, where doors would only slow customers down. An air curtain holds -1°C to +10°C across the open front and a night blind cuts energy use after hours. The same cabinet with four hinged glass doors is the FHM2500HD-NR.

Good to know before you buy:

• Access: the crate is 2750mm long, 2350mm high and 640 kg, and the cabinet alone weighs 600 kg. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises, without moving inside or unpacking, so you will need a forklift or pallet jack and a clear, level path in. Check door heights carefully.
• Power: it draws 9.2 A, most of what a 10 amp outlet can supply, so give it its own power point rather than sharing a circuit with other appliances.
• Placement: draughts from doors, fans and air-conditioning vents can disturb the air curtain. Bromic rates it for a 25°C room (climate class 3M1).
• Running costs: as an open cabinet it uses 29.86 kWh per 24 hours, so make a habit of closing the night blind after trading.
