The Sammic MB-31 is a 400 W variable speed stick blender that comes with both a blending arm and a whisk. It suits restaurants, cafes, bakeries and pastry kitchens that blend soups and sauces in pots up to 30 litres and whip egg whites in the same shift. It sits in the middle of the MB range: more power and capacity than the compact MB-22, and a smaller choice than the 80 litre MB-51.

What comes in the box?
The variable speed motor block, the MA-31 mixer arm, the BA-30 whisk and a wall mount for storage.

How is this different from a fixed speed XM blender?
The MB-31 lets you set the speed for the job: 1,500 to 12,000 rpm on the blending arm and 200 to 1,500 rpm on the whisk. The XM models run at a fixed 12,000 rpm and don't come with a whisk.

Do I need the MB-31 or just the B-30?
If you only whip, the B-30 does that job. Sammic lists the MA-31 arm as an option for the B-30, so blending can be added later, but the MB-31 includes the arm from the start and covers both jobs out of the box.
