At 1823mm wide, the Bonvue AMS-18 gives a butcher, seafood or deli counter a long run of display with 1218 litres gross behind slanted double-pane glass. A double gravity coil holds -1°C to +5°C evenly across three adjustable display levels, and there is refrigerated stock storage at the back. Staff work from the rear through insulated sliding doors while the front glass stays fixed. FED lists a 9 star GEMS energy rating and a 450W draw, the same wattage as the larger AMS-21.

Good to know before you buy:

• Access: packed, it is 1885mm long, 915mm deep and 1560mm high, and the unit weighs 201 kg, so plan for several people to move it. Check doorways and tight corners. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises; standard delivery doesn't include bringing it inside, up stairs or unpacking.
• Room conditions: rated for rooms up to 30°C and 55% humidity. An air-conditioned shop floor away from cooking equipment suits it best.
• Power: plugs into a standard 10 A power point.
• Airflow: keep the grilles clear and leave space around the case for ventilation.

Common questions:

Can it be opened from the customer side?
No. The AMS-18 has fixed slanted front glass, and staff reach the product through the sliding rear doors. If you want front sliding doors as well, choose the AMS-18DD.

How much power does it use?
FED rates it at 450W on 240V, and it plugs into a standard 10 A power point. FED's brochure lists a 9 star GEMS rating for this model.

Is there room for back-up stock?
Yes. There is a refrigerated storage area at the rear of the case, separate from the display shelves.
