Modular Systems HOOD1000A - Benchtop Filtered Exhaust Hood 1000mm, No Ducting Required
The HOOD1000A is a 1000mm wide filtered hood that mounts straight onto the benchtop, so you can add extraction over countertop cooking gear without running ducting. It steps up from the 750mm model to two high-speed, 4-speed German motors and 2120 m³/h of airflow, through the same all stainless steel, three-stage filter system. A fluorescent light brightens the work area underneath.
Key features:
- All stainless steel construction with a triple filter system
- No ducting required; mounts easily to the benchtop
- Stainless steel vertical baffle filters trap most of the grease and drain it to a removable gutter
- Washable polyester filter catches the remaining grease
- Activated carbon filter removes odour
- Two high-speed, 4-speed German motors, 2120 m³/h airflow
- Fluorescent light over the work area

Common questions:
How does it handle grease and smells without a duct?
It uses three stages: stainless steel baffles collect most of the grease, a washable polyester filter takes the rest, and an activated carbon filter removes odour.
Is it suitable for gas equipment?
FED says it's generally suitable for gas equipment up to 29 MJ. Check your local council requirements first, and have gas appliances connected by a licensed gas fitter.
Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. Installation must meet local regulations, and any electrical work must be done by a licensed electrician.
