Santos #55BFK - Automatic Silent Coffee Grinder, 25kg/h, 63dBA
The Santos #55BFK is an automatic on-demand espresso grinder: detectors in the filter holder start the grind and dose 1 or 2 espressos straight into the portafilter, and a built-in tamper is on hand to finish the shot. At 63 dBA it is very quiet, which suits busy cafes, coffee bars and restaurants. Compared with the #59, which has an LCD display and pulse button, it has a 5 digit counter of group heads filled and setting buttons with a 2.6 to 20 g dosing range.

Which portafilter sizes does the tamper suit?
Santos lists three tampers for the #55, to suit 53 mm, 55 mm and 57 mm filters. If your coffee machine uses another size, ask us before you order.
Does it hold ground coffee?
No. There is no dispenser, so the beans are ground on demand and every dose is fresh.
How quickly does it dose?
Santos says a 7 g dose is dispensed in less than one second, so staff are not left waiting at the grinder between shots in a rush.
