The Bonvue SL880V is the biggest cabinet in the deluxe SL range: a 2400mm squared glass chilled showcase for larger cafes, bakeries and food stores that want their whole fresh range of sandwiches, wraps, salads, pastries, yoghurts and cakes on display at once. It holds 1200 litres of gross volume across four lit display levels at +2°C to +8°C, and is rated for room temperatures up to 32°C. It also adds an illuminated front panel, which the smaller SL models don't list.

Good to know before you buy:

• Access: this is a 2.4 metre, 361 kg cabinet, about 2450mm long in its packaging. Measure your entry, hallways and counter opening carefully, and plan for enough people or equipment to move it. It is delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises; bringing it inside isn't part of standard delivery.
• Power: plugs into a standard 10 A power point and is rated at 1520W.
• Airflow: it is rated for rooms up to 32°C, so keep the vents clear and leave space around it to help it hold temperature.

Common questions:

How is the SL880V different from the smaller SL models?
It is 2400mm wide with 1200 litres of gross volume, and it adds an illuminated front panel. The depth (740mm) and height (1350mm) match the rest of the range.

Will it cope with a warm shop?
FED gives it an ambient rating of 32°C, so keep it out of rooms that run hotter than that.

Does such a big cabinet need special power?
No. Even at this size it runs from a standard 240V, 10 A power point.
