Williams Topaz Cake Display HTG12HC - Two Tier (Plus Base) Free Standing Refrigerated Cake Display 1200mm
A 1200mm cake display is the size most cafes end up with, and the Williams Topaz Cake Display HTG12HC fills it with two adjustable shelves plus the base, all lit by LED strips and framed in heated double-glazed glass. Customers see cakes and sandwiches through the front, top and sides; staff serve from double-glazed sliding doors at the rear. It holds +2°C to +8°C in a 38°C, 65% humidity environment, uses R290 natural refrigerant and plugs into a 10 amp power point. The HTGH12HC adds a third shelf in a taller cabinet, while the HTG9HC and HTG15HC are the next sizes down and up.
Key features:
- Three display levels: two adjustable shelves plus the base deck
- Heated double-glazed glass on the front, top and both sides; top and front glass is a single mitre-joined piece
- Argon-filled, double-glazed Low-E rear sliding doors with a heated frame and magnetic catch
- LED strip lighting under each shelf and the glass top
- Two-piece white frosted polycarbonate shelves, rated to 40 kg each
- Electronic controller with two digital temperature displays
- On/off switches for lights and heated glass on the rear of the cabinet
- Rear ventilation; easy-clean condenser behind a removable rear vent
- Auto defrost using a waste heat recovery vaporiser, so there is no drain to run
- Supplied on castors; R290 natural refrigerant

Good to know before you buy:
- Access: shipped in a crate; Williams notes a forklift is needed to handle it. Our carrier delivers by tailgate truck to the front of your premises, so plan how you will uncrate 250 kg and roll it inside on its castors. Check the doorway against the crate, not just the 1200 x 680 x 1200mm cabinet.
- Power: standard 10 amp power point, 2 m cable, 5.0 A while running. Give it a dedicated outlet.
- Airflow: rear breathing. Leave a gap behind the cabinet and keep the rear vent clear.
- Siting: glass displays work hardest in direct sun. Keep it out of a sunny window and away from heat lamps and coffee machine exhaust.

Common questions:
Can I display sandwiches and drinks as well as cakes?
Yes. Williams describes the Topaz as a cake and food display, and at +2°C to +8°C it suits sandwiches, salads, yoghurt and bottled drinks as well as cakes and slices.
Does it need a drain?
No. It defrosts automatically and evaporates the water using waste heat, so it only needs a 10 amp power point.
Do you install it?
Nothing to install. Position it with a gap at the rear, plug it in and let it pull down to temperature before loading. We supply the equipment only.
