Williams Topaz Cake Display HTG15HC - 2 Tier Plus Base Free Standing Refrigerated Cake & Food Display 1500mm
With 1500mm of glass frontage, the Williams Topaz Cake Display HTG15HC lets a busy cafe lay out cakes, slices, sandwiches and drinks across three lit levels (two adjustable shelves plus the base) without crowding. It is a refrigerated display holding +2°C to +8°C in a 38°C, 65% humidity environment, with heated double-glazed glass on the front, top and both sides and argon-filled sliding doors at the rear for staff. It runs on R290 natural refrigerant from a 10 amp plug. The HTGH15 is the taller three-shelf version in the same width.
Key features:
- Three display levels: two adjustable shelves plus the base deck
- Heated double-glazed glass on the front, top and both sides to minimise condensation; top and front glass mitre-joined as one piece
- Argon-filled, double-glazed Low-E rear sliding doors with a heated frame and magnetic catch
- LED strip lighting under each shelf and the glass top
- Two-piece white frosted polycarbonate shelves rated to 40 kg each
- Electronic controller with two digital temperature displays
- On/off switches for the lights and heated glass at the rear
- Rear ventilation with an easy-clean condenser behind a removable rear vent
- Auto defrost using a waste heat recovery vaporiser, so no drain is needed
- Supplied on castors; R290 natural refrigerant

Good to know before you buy:
- Access: at 300 kg and 1500mm long, and crated for shipping (Williams notes a forklift is required), this needs planning. Our carrier delivers by tailgate truck to the front of your premises; from there you need enough people to uncrate it and roll it in on its castors through a doorway wide enough for the crate.
- Power: standard 10 amp power point, 2 m cable, 5 A while running. Use a dedicated outlet.
- Airflow: rear breathing. Leave a gap behind the cabinet and keep the rear vent clear of dust.
- Siting: keep it out of direct sun and away from heat sources so the glass and refrigeration are not fighting a hot spot.
Compare similar models:
- Williams HTGH15: the taller 1380mm version with three shelves plus base (R448A refrigerant)
- Williams HTG12HC: same format, 1200mm wide
- Williams HTG18HC: same format, 1800mm wide
- Williams HTG9HC: same format, 900mm wide
Common questions:
Is this cabinet refrigerated or ambient?
Refrigerated. It holds +2°C to +8°C and is rated for a 38°C, 65% humidity room, so it is suitable for cream cakes, sandwiches and dairy, not just dry pastries.
How do the rear doors stay closed?
The sliding doors run in an aluminium track with a cold-stop strip and catch back onto a magnetic strip, so they close properly between serves rather than drifting open.
Does it need a drain?
No. Defrost water is evaporated using waste heat from the refrigeration system.
