Williams Refrigeration Australia designs and manufactures commercial refrigeration at its factory in Dandenong South, Victoria. Part of the Ali Group, Williams builds cabinets for Australian conditions, with most ranges rated for 40°C kitchens, R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant across the newer models, and spare parts held locally. Williams supplies cafes, restaurants, pubs and clubs, bakeries, hospitals, schools and supermarkets across the country.

Are Williams fridges made in Australia?

Most of them are. Williams manufactures its Pearl, Quartz Star, Garnet, Opal, Emerald, Boronia, Cameo, Banksia, Jade, Jarrah, Crystal and glass chiller ranges at Dandenong South in Victoria, and those product pages carry an Australian Made tag. The Topaz value range, Ruby Roll-In, Under Broiler Counters, Thermowell wells, Gem multidecks, Aztra and Amber counters, Vari Temp drawers, wine cabinets, bottle coolers and the blast chillers are built overseas to Williams' designs. Every product page lists its country of origin.

What is the difference between self-contained and remote models?

A self-contained unit has its refrigeration system built in and plugs into a power point. A remote unit is the same cabinet without a condensing unit: your refrigeration mechanic supplies and installs a suitably sized condensing unit and pipework. We supply the equipment only.

What does HC mean in a Williams model code?

HC models run on R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, a natural refrigerant with very low global warming potential. Williams has moved most of its range, including Pearl, to R290.

What warranty do Williams products have?

Self-contained units carry a 24-month parts and labour warranty from the invoice date. Units connected to a remote condensing unit carry 12 months parts only. Warranty repairs must be logged with Williams first.
