Sometimes you need a freezer at the cook line, sometimes a fridge, and the Williams Vari Temp Drawer VSWCD1L-HC can be either. One wide drawer holds two 1/1 GN pans up to 150mm deep, and the CoolSmart controller lets you switch it between +1°C to +4°C fridge mode and -18°C to -22°C freezer mode. At only 455mm high it tucks under a bench or alongside cooking equipment in pubs, steakhouses and catering kitchens, running on R290 natural refrigerant from a 10 amp plug. If you want fridge and freezer at the same time, the VSWCD1S-HC is two of these units stacked into one 830mm-high cabinet.

Good to know before you buy:
- Access: the unit is 1100mm wide and 670mm deep, and Williams lists it at 200 kg, so plan the route in. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises and does not include moving it inside.
- Power: plugs into a standard 10 amp power point with a 2 m cable.
- Airflow: the refrigeration system breathes through the sides, so leave a gap beside the unit rather than boxing it in between other equipment.
- Pans: the drawer is sized for 1/1 GN pans. Ask us whether pans are included with your order.

Can it be a fridge and a freezer at the same time?
No. This single-drawer unit runs at one setting at a time, either fridge or freezer. For both at once, the stacked VSWCD1S-HC has two independent drawer units.
Will it cope in a hot kitchen?
Yes. Williams designs the Vari Temp Drawer to run efficiently in room temperatures up to 40°C.
Do you install it?
There is nothing to install. It rolls into place on its castors and plugs into a standard 10 amp outlet. We supply the equipment only.
