One cabinet, two temperatures: the Skipio SURF12-2 is a 1200mm underbench unit with a fridge behind one door and a freezer behind the other, covering both chilled and frozen prep stock at the cook's station. The fridge side holds 127 litres at 0°C to +8°C and the freezer side 135 litres at -21°C to -12°C. It is the smallest of Skipio's underbench dual temp range, with the SURF15-2 and SURF18-3 offering more space.

Good to know before you buy:

• Access: 1200mm wide and 700mm deep. It's delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises, and standard delivery doesn't include bringing it inside, up stairs or unpacking.
• Airflow: air is drawn in at the front and warm air leaves at the back and side, so Skipio asks for at least 50mm gap from walls. Leave room on the left-hand side, where the motor sits.
• Levelling: set it up level. Defrost water collects in a condensate tray, which can overflow if the cabinet leans.
• Power: standard 10 A plug, straight into a wall outlet as Skipio requires.

How do I set the two temperatures?
One combined digital controller handles both compartments: the fridge runs at 0°C to +8°C and the freezer at -21°C to -12°C. A "Set" button guards against accidental changes.

How do I clean the condenser?
Pull off the front easy cover, lift out the magnetic screen and brush the condenser with the supplied brush. Skipio recommends doing it monthly.

Does it need a drain?
Skipio's manual describes a condensate tray for defrost water rather than a drain connection. Just keep the cabinet level.
