The Skipio SURF18-3 is the largest of Skipio's underbench dual temp units: 1800mm wide with three doors, a 333 litre fridge section and a 154 litre freezer section. It is aimed at busy prep lines that use far more chilled stock than frozen, such as cafes, sandwich bars and bistros. Compared with the two door SURF15-2, it trades some freezer space for almost double the fridge space.

Good to know before you buy:

• Access: at 1800mm long, 700mm deep and 120 kg, check the delivery path into your kitchen. It arrives by tailgate truck at the front of your premises, and standard delivery doesn't include bringing it inside, up stairs or unpacking.
• Airflow: leave at least 50mm from walls, as Skipio vents warm air at the back and side. Give the left-hand end some space, where the motor sits.
• Power: 10 A plug into a standard wall outlet.
• Levelling: keep it level so defrost water stays in the condensate tray. Spacers and a spanner come in the box.

How is the space split?
333 litres is fridge and 154 litres is freezer, so roughly two thirds chilled and one third frozen.

How often should I clean the condenser?
Skipio recommends a brush once a month. The front easy cover pulls off and the magnetic screen lifts out for cleaning.

Does it need a drain?
No drain connection is listed. Defrost water goes to a condensate tray, so keep the unit level.
