Williams Topaz Upright LT2SSHC - 2 Door Upright Storage Freezer 1210mm 777L

The Williams Topaz Upright LT2SSHC is the largest freezer in the Topaz cafe range: 777 litres at -18°C to -22°C in a 1210mm wide stainless steel cabinet that runs from a 10 amp plug. It is the freezer twin of the HT2SSHC fridge, with the same split doors, fan cut-out switches and 38°C ambient rating, which makes it a natural partner for a kitchen that buys frozen in bulk. For a smaller footprint, the single door LT1SSHC holds 408 litres in 702mm.

Key features:

  • 777 litres of frozen storage held at -18°C to -22°C
  • Two openings with split solid doors (upper and lower), self-closing, with cylindrical locks
  • Automatic cut-out switches stop the internal fans when a door is opened
  • Stainless steel interior and exterior (excluding rear and underside)
  • 8 adjustable plastic-coated shelves (4 per side) on adjustable strips and clips
  • Internal LED lighting and an electronic controller with digital temperature display
  • Top-mounted self-contained refrigeration on R290 natural refrigerant
  • Auto defrost using a waste heat recovery vaporiser, so there is no drain to run
  • Designed for a 38°C ambient with optimised ducted air flow

Good to know before you buy:

  • Access: 1210mm wide, 760mm deep, 1950mm high on castors and 146 kg. Measure doorways, and plan a two-person move from the kerb. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises.
  • Power: standard 10 amp power point, 2 m cable, 3.7 A running current. Give it its own outlet rather than a shared power board.
  • Airflow: top-mounted condenser. Keep the space above the cabinet clear and the vents clean; a freezer works hardest of all in a hot kitchen.
  • Running cost: Williams rates it at 11.3 kWh per day, so keeping the doors closed and the fans cutting out as designed makes a real difference to your power bill.

Common questions:

Does it need a 15 amp outlet?
No. Despite its size it runs on a standard 10 amp plug, drawing 3.7 A once it is at temperature.

Is there a drain to connect?
No. Defrost water is evaporated by the waste heat recovery vaporiser, so no plumbing is needed.

Will the doors stay shut in a busy kitchen?
Yes. All four doors are self-closing and have cylindrical locks, and the fans switch off automatically while any door is open.
