Turbo Air KF45-2G-N - 2 Glass Door Upright Freezer 1260mm 1215L

When a single-door freezer runs out of room, the Turbo Air KF45-2G-N doubles the width to 1260 mm and gives you 1215 litres behind two full-height glass doors. It holds -21°C to -12°C on 6 adjustable shelves, with double-glazed, heated, low-E glass and LED lighting so frozen stock is easy to see, and it still plugs into a standard 10 amp outlet. This is the two-door glass model in the 1260 mm size: the KF45-4G-N splits the same width into four half doors, and the solid-door KF45-2-N is the lower-energy choice for back-of-house storage.

Key features:

  • Two full-height glass doors with double-glazed, heated, low-E glass
  • LED interior lighting for a clear view across the full width
  • 1215 litres at -21°C to -12°C, with fan cooling for even temperatures through the wide cabinet
  • 6 adjustable heavy-duty PE-coated wire shelves, each rated at 50 kg
  • Patented self-cleaning condenser: a brush sweeps the condenser 2 to 3 times a day to keep dust off it
  • Turbo Cooling & Freeze function for a fast pull-down after a big delivery (compressor runs continuously for up to two hours)
  • Digital temperature control and monitor system; Turbo Air says it was the first company to apply digital control to commercial refrigerators, in 1997
  • Drain water evaporation system, so Turbo Air says no extra drain is needed
  • Stainless steel exterior and interior, R290 natural refrigerant, top-mounted compressor and castors

Good to know before you buy:

  • Access: at 1260 mm wide, 1926 mm tall and 170 kg, plan the route in before it arrives. Allow 860 mm for depth (Turbo Air's catalogue and product page; the price list prints 850 mm). Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises, and standard delivery doesn't include carrying it inside, up stairs or unpacking.
  • Power: a standard 10 amp power point (single phase 220–240 V) is enough; it draws 3.5 full load amps and 550 W.
  • Energy: glass costs more to run. Turbo Air quotes 11.37 kWh per 24 hours here, against 7.11 kWh for the solid-door KF45-2-N.
  • Airflow: the compressor is on top, so keep that space clear and leave a gap around the cabinet.

Common questions:

How much more energy does the glass door version use?
Turbo Air quotes 11.37 kWh per 24 hours for the KF45-2G-N (about 4150 kWh a year) and 7.11 kWh for the solid-door KF45-2-N (about 2595 kWh a year). Choose glass when display or quick stock checks matter.

What does the -N at the end of the model mean?
It marks the R290 hydrocarbon version. Turbo Air's catalogue lists this model as KF45-2G(HC), where HC stands for hydrocarbon refrigerant.

Can I move it to clean behind it?
Yes. It sits on castors, so you can roll it out for cleaning. It is heavy at 170 kg, so move it carefully.
