Turbo Air KF25-2G-N - 2 Half Glass Door Upright Freezer 640mm 572L

Two half-height glass doors mean you can open just the top or the bottom of the Turbo Air KF25-2G-N and leave the other half shut. Inside the slim 640 mm cabinet is 572 litres of freezer space at -21°C to -12°C, behind double-glazed, heated, low-E glass with LED lighting, so busy staff can spot what they need before they reach in. Turbo Air quotes 6.92 kWh per 24 hours, a touch under the single-door KF25-1G-N, and the system runs on R290 natural refrigerant with a patented self-cleaning condenser. Pick it over the KF25-1G-N if you like splitting stock into an upper and lower half, or the solid KF25-2-N if display doesn't matter.

Key features:

  • Two half glass doors on one 640 mm cabinet, so you only open the half you need
  • Double-glazed, heated, low-E glass with LED interior lighting
  • 572 litres at -21°C to -12°C with fan cooling
  • Patented self-cleaning condenser, where a rotating brush sweeps the condenser 2 to 3 times a day to stop dust building up
  • Turbo Cooling & Freeze runs the compressor continuously for up to two hours for a fast pull-down after loading
  • Digital temperature control and monitor system
  • Hot gas condensate system uses condensate water to help cool the hot refrigerant pipe, and Turbo Air says it removes the need for an extra drain
  • 3 adjustable heavy-duty PE-coated wire shelves (50 kg rating), stainless steel inside and out
  • Top-mounted compressor, R290 refrigerant, recessed handles, magnetic gaskets and castors

Good to know before you buy:

  • Access: 640 mm is a slim footprint, but it still stands 1926 mm tall and weighs 95 kg. Allow 860 mm for depth (Turbo Air's catalogue figure; its price list shows 850 mm). It arrives by tailgate truck at the front of your premises, and standard delivery doesn't cover bringing it inside, up stairs or unpacking, so measure your doorways and corners.
  • Power: runs from a standard 10 amp power point (single phase 220–240 V), 2.5 full load amps.
  • Airflow: keep the top of the cabinet clear for the top-mounted compressor, and don't box it in tightly.

Common questions:

Half doors or one full door: what's the difference?
Storage is almost the same (572 litres here, 574 litres in the KF25-1G-N). With half doors you open only the top or bottom, which suits sorting stock into two groups and quick grab-and-go access.

What does the self-cleaning condenser actually do?
A rotating brush moves up and down over the condenser 2 to 3 times a day. That stops dust building up, so the condenser keeps releasing heat properly and the compressor isn't strained. The design is patented by Turbo Air.

Does it need a drain or special power?
No. It plugs into a standard 10 amp outlet, and Turbo Air's hot gas condensate system removes the need for an extra drain. We supply the equipment only.
