Williams Topaz Cake Display HTGH18 - Three Tier (Plus Base) Free Standing Refrigerated Cake Display 1800mm

Top of the Topaz display range, the Williams Topaz Cake Display HTGH18 combines the widest cabinet (1800mm) with the tall 1380mm format, so you get three adjustable shelves plus the base across the full width: four long, LED-lit levels for a bakery or busy cafe. Heated double-glazed glass on the front, top and sides keeps condensation off, staff serve through argon-filled sliding doors at the rear, and it holds +2°C to +8°C in a 38°C, 65% humidity environment. Like the HTGH15 it runs on R448A refrigerant (so no HC in the code), and it plugs into a 10 amp outlet.

Key features:

  • Four display levels: three adjustable shelves plus the base deck, 1800mm wide
  • Heated double-glazed glass on the front, top and both sides; top and front mitre-joined as one piece with heating film
  • Double-glazed, argon-filled Low-E rear sliding doors with a heated frame and magnetic catch
  • LED strip lighting under every shelf and under the glass top
  • Two-piece white frosted polycarbonate shelves rated to 40 kg each
  • Electronic controller with two digital temperature displays
  • Rear-mounted on/off switches for lights and heated glass
  • Rear ventilation and an easy-clean condenser behind a removable rear vent
  • Auto defrost with a waste heat recovery vaporiser, so there is no drain to run
  • Supplied on castors

Good to know before you buy:

  • Access: this is the heaviest and largest Topaz display at 320 kg, 1800mm long, 800mm deep and 1380mm high, and it ships in a crate that Williams says needs a forklift to handle. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises, so plan the people and the path needed to uncrate it and roll it inside on its castors.
  • Power: standard 10 amp power point, 2 m cable, 6.9 A while running. It must have its own outlet; do not share a circuit with a coffee machine.
  • Airflow: rear breathing. Leave a gap behind the cabinet and keep the rear vent clear.
  • Refrigerant: R448A is a synthetic blend rather than the R290 hydrocarbon used on the rest of the Topaz range.

Common questions:

How many shelves do I actually get?
Three adjustable polycarbonate shelves, each in two pieces and rated to 40 kg, plus the base deck. Williams counts that as four levels including the base.

Can I switch the lights and heated glass off at night?
Yes. Both have their own on/off switch on the rear of the cabinet, so you can save power overnight while the refrigeration keeps running.

Does it need a drain?
No. Defrost water is evaporated using waste heat from the refrigeration system, so it only needs a 10 amp power point.
