Product details

Baron SE60/0CB - Adjustable Height Electric Salamander 600mm

The Baron SE60/0CB is a 600mm electric salamander with a 600 x 350 mm cooking area, made for browning, gratinating and finishing plates at the pass. Its Incoloy elements are fitted in an upper deck that slides up and down on runners, so you can set the heat close for fast colour or higher for gentler finishing. It runs on 230V single-phase power at 4 kW and can sit on a bench or be wall mounted with an optional bracket. It has a wider cooking area than the 400mm SE40/0CB.

Key features:

  • 600 x 350 mm cooking area
  • Upper heating deck slides up and down on runners
  • Incoloy heating elements
  • Air vents along the top to clear heat and smoke
  • Removable drip trays and chrome-plated steel grids for cleaning
  • AISI 304 stainless steel with a satin finish, on rubber feet
  • Bench-top or wall mounting (bracket 9013 sold separately)

Specifications:

  • Model: Baron SE60/0CB
  • Cooking area: 600 x 350 mm
  • Dimensions: 600 W x 450 D x 500 H mm
  • Power: 230V single phase, 50 Hz, 4 kW, 20 amp supply
  • Material: AISI 304 stainless steel, satin finish
  • Origin: Italy
  • Packed weight for delivery: 47 kg

Good to know before you buy:

  • Power: it needs a 20 amp single-phase supply, which is more than a standard 10 amp power point. Have a licensed electrician provide a suitable circuit and connect it. We supply the equipment only.
  • Wall mounting: Baron says these salamanders can be wall mounted at eye level for close control of cooking. Order the 9013 wall bracket if you want to do that.
  • Access: 47 kg packed, delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises. Standard delivery doesn't include bringing it inside.

Compare similar models:

  • Baron SE40/0CB: compact 400 x 350 mm version, 2 kW on a 10 amp supply
  • Baron SEF2/2: same 600 x 350 mm area, fixed height, two zones, pass-through option
  • Baron SDSM6E: ultra-rapid digital salamander, 540 x 365 mm, three phase
  • Baron SG/0: gas salamander, 575 x 400 mm

Common questions:

What is the difference from the SEF2/2?
Both have a 600 x 350 mm cooking area and 4 kW. The SE60/0CB moves its heating deck up and down on runners, while the SEF2/2 has two fixed grid heights, two independently controlled zones and a removable back panel for pass-through use.

Will it plug into a normal power point?
Scots Ice lists a 20 amp supply, so it needs a dedicated circuit rather than a standard 10 amp outlet.

Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. It must be connected by a licensed electrician in your area.

Warranty: 2 years parts and labour (24 months each) through Baron's Australian distributor, Scots Ice. Exclusions apply.
