The BT-SB8 is the largest boiling top in the B+S Black range: eight 31 MJ open burners across 1200mm, on a stainless steel stand with an undershelf. It suits high volume restaurants, hotels and institutions that need a full line of burners in one unit. The smaller BT-SB2, BT-SB4 and BT-SB6 use the same burner, so the choice comes down to how many you need.

Good to know before you buy:

• Gas type: choose Natural Gas or LPG when you order, to match your gas supply.
• Installation: gas appliances must be connected by a licensed gas fitter, to local regulations and under a suitable exhaust canopy. We supply the equipment only.
• Access: delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises. Check doorways for a 1200 x 840 x 1030 mm unit.
• Options: B+S also offers a pilot light per burner, non-swivel rear castors (set of two) and a 1200 x 50 mm plinth kit. Ask us for a price.

Common questions:

One BT-SB8 or two BT-SB4 tops?
Burner count and total gas load are the same at 248 MJ/h on natural gas. One BT-SB8 is a single 1200 mm unit to place. Two BT-SB4 tops are easier through a tight door and can be split up later, but each needs its own gas connection.

B+S Black or K+?
The BT-SB8 has 31 MJ Italian made burners and vitreous enamelled trivets, with a 24-month warranty. The K+ KBT-SB8 has 30 MJ burners and cast iron trivets, with an 18-month warranty.

What would pilot lights add?
