The Hamilton Beach Fury is a 3HP commercial bar blender built for simple, fast operation behind a busy bar or smoothie counter. Manual paddle switches give you high, low and pulse with one-touch start, and a timer switches it off automatically. It has a wave action jug design, a 2 litre stackable jug and an all-metal drive coupling. The Tempest ice blender is its sister model, with a 2-speed jump cycle and motor cool-down protection.

Good to know before you buy:

• Jug care: blender jugs are a consumable item with their own 3 month warranty, separate from the motor warranty. Hamilton Beach suggests replacing jugs about every 12 months, depending on use, and notes they are dishwasher safe but not dishwasher proof, so dishwashing shortens their life.
• Worn jugs: using a jug once its bearings are worn can damage the motor and void the warranty. Spare complete jugs are available, so ask us.
• Power: runs on 240V power, rated at 2.2 kW.

Common questions:

Can I use the same jugs as the Tempest?
Yes. ICE lists the same R series complete jug for both the Fury and the Tempest. Ask us for a spare.

Does it switch itself off?
Yes. It has a timer with automatic shut-off.

Can I froth milk with it?
Hamilton Beach offers a frothing jug, and ICE says a convertible jar pad lets you use it on the Fury. Ask us about both parts.

Warranty: 3 years, back to base, through ICE, Hamilton Beach's Australian distributor, plus 3 months on the jug. Back to base means that if a warranty fault comes up, the blender is returned to ICE to be assessed, rather than being looked at on site.
