• Ice drinks: it can blend ice in cocktails, but Hamilton Beach says it isn't suitable for frappés and other ice-based drinks. For those, look at the Tempest or Eclipse.
• Jugs: jugs are a consumable item with their own 3 month warranty. Spare 1.4L and 0.95L jugs both suit the Rio, so ask us if you want a second jug.

Which jug should I choose?
The BBN2255 comes with a 1.4 litre BPA-free jug, and the BBN2255S with a 0.95 litre stainless steel jug. ICE lists both spare jugs as suiting either Rio model.

Warranty: 2 years, back to base, through ICE, Hamilton Beach's Australian distributor, plus 3 months on the jug. Back to base means that if a warranty fault comes up, the blender is returned to ICE to be assessed, rather than being looked at on site.
