Built for cafes, juice bars and cocktail bars that blend smoothies, frappes and frozen drinks all day, the Benchstar KS-10000 pairs a 1.5 kW motor with speed control up to 30,000 rpm and a large LCD screen with preset blending programs. The standard sound cover makes a real difference at the counter: FED measures about 72–74 dB with it fitted, against 86–90 dB without. It plugs into a standard 10 A power point, and a spare jug set is available so you can keep a second jug on the go.

Good to know before you buy:

• Power: plugs into a standard 240V 10 A power point.
• Cleaning: the jug can go through a dishwasher. FED advises keeping the drying temperature between +100°C and +110°C to protect the seal and bearings.
• Spare jug: a complete spare jug assembly (KS-10000-J) is available, so you can keep a second jug ready during a rush.
• Access: it is a small benchtop unit, packed at 300 x 350 x 600 mm, delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises.
