The Hamilton Beach BigRig is a heavy-duty stick blender for big batches of soup, sauce and puree, with a 1000W motor and a variable blending speed from 3,000 to 15,000 rpm. Choose the shaft length to suit your pots: 355mm for batches up to 53 litres, 406mm up to 87 litres, 457mm up to 121 litres or 533mm up to 158 litres. The sealed stainless steel shaft is removable and has an ergonomic grip, and every model comes with a power base and wall mount hanger. It is the big-batch partner to the compact IMH0228.

Good to know before you buy:

• Choosing a shaft: pick the length that reaches the bottom of your deepest pot. The longer shafts suit bigger batches, up to 158 litres on the 533mm shaft.
• Accessories: a whisk attachment and spare complete shafts in each length are available separately, so ask us.
• Storage: the wall mount hanger keeps it off the bench and out of the way between uses.

Warranty: 2 years, back to base, through ICE, Hamilton Beach's Australian distributor. Back to base means that if a warranty fault comes up, the stick blender is returned to ICE to be assessed, rather than being looked at on site.
