The 2100-7-WBB is a long, deep splashback bench for kitchens with space for a serious prep station: 2100mm wide and 700mm deep, so two staff can work side by side with room for boards, containers and small appliances. It is from FED's economic range, with a 1.2mm 304 grade stainless steel top and 100mm splashback, a galvanised undershelf and six height-adjustable galvanised legs, rated to 360kg.

Good to know before you buy:

• Access: it comes flat-packed in a carton about 2120 x 720 x 130 mm, delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises. Standard delivery does not include carrying it inside, up stairs or unpacking, so check your doorways, corridors and any tight corners.
• Materials: the top and splashback are 304 stainless steel, while the legs and undershelf are galvanised steel. If you want stainless steel throughout, look at the premium Modular Systems benches.
• Extras: FED lists an extra undershelf to suit this bench (2100-SUS7) and a six-castor set (CASTOR-D61, three with brakes) for the economic range. Ask us for prices.

Common questions:

How tall is the splashback?
100mm, running along the back edge of the 2100mm top. FED's premium WBB benches have a 150mm splashback if you need more wall protection.

Should I choose 600mm or 700mm deep?
The 700mm depth of this bench gives more room behind your chopping board. If your kitchen is tight, the 2100-6-WBB is the same bench in 600mm deep.

Is it heavy to move into place?
It arrives flat-packed in a carton about 2120mm long, so it is easier to carry than a built bench. Once assembled on six legs it is best moved by two people.
