The NovaChill Ice Box Model A is a single door bagged ice storage freezer for service stations, bottle shops, caravan parks, ice suppliers and event operators. It holds 1872 litres at -15°C to -10°C, with 100mm urethane insulation in the walls, roof and floor, fan-forced cooling and auto defrost. The freezer unit sits on top as a removable monoblock with a weather cover and ICE signage, and the whole box runs from a 10 amp plug. It is the smallest of the three NovaChill ice boxes; Models B and C add a second door and more storage.

Good to know before you buy:

• Access: this is a large unit, about 1.5 metres wide and 2.4 metres high with the freezer unit fitted. It is delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises. Standard delivery doesn't include moving it into position, so make sure the truck can get in and plan how you will move it to its spot. Contact us to plan the delivery.
• Level site: because it defrosts automatically, NovaChill says the box must be installed level so melt water drains away properly.
• Power: plugs into a standard 10 amp power point.
• Airflow: keep the area around the freezer unit on top clear so the condenser can breathe.

Common questions:

Can the door be opened from inside?
Yes. The door is lockable and has an internal release, so anyone inside can let themselves out.

Do bags of ice sit on the floor?
No. Internal floor grids keep the bags up off the floor, and ribbed wall panels help cold air circulate.

Will it cope with a hot site?
NovaChill rates the ice box range for surrounding temperatures up to 38°C. Keep the freezer unit clear so it can get rid of heat.
