The SE-604 is a floorstanding chamber vacuum packer from Sammic's Sensor line, with a 40 m³/h Busch pump and a 672 x 481 x 200 mm chamber. It suits butchers, caterers and food producers packing in volume. Choose a long and a short sealing bar (413 + 656 mm) or two 465 mm bars. The SE-606 is the same machine with a 63 m³/h pump, and the SU-604GP adds Sensor Ultra programs and gas flush.

Good to know before you buy:

• Power: needs a 3-phase 400 V supply with a 5-pin connection. No plug is supplied, so it must be connected by a licensed electrician.
• Seal bars: 1 x 413mm + 1 x 656mm (SE-604): a short and a long bar (1069 mm in total), so wide bags go on the long bar and smaller ones on the short bar in the same cycle. 2 x 465mm (SE-604 CC): two equal bars (930 mm) for two rows of similar sized bags.
• Lead time: Sammic brings this model in to order, so allow extra time. Ask us for a current lead time.
• Delivery: delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises. Check doorways and floor space for a 740 x 566 x 997 mm unit, about 145 kg.
• Installation: must be connected by a licensed electrician. We supply the equipment only.

Common questions:

How does the vacuum compare with a benchtop model?
Sammic lists a maximum vacuum of 0.5 mbar for the SE-604, against 2 mbar for its benchtop Sensor models such as the SE-520, so it can pull a deeper vacuum.

Can it vacuum containers?
Yes. It is Vac-Norm ready with automatic decompression, so it works with Sammic Vac-Norm containers through the external vacuum kit. Sammic also offers a bag cutting kit and a support for liquid packaging. Ask us for a price.

How do I look after the pump?
Run the dry-oil programme to dry the pump and clear impurities from the oil, and use the working hours counter to keep track of oil changes.
