The SCooker HLZMDN6-C12 is a 400 mm induction noodle cooker with a single 25 L tank and six baskets, rated at 12 kW. It suits a noodle bar or Asian restaurant cooking individual portions to order. The 800 mm HLZMDN5G-C10 is the bigger option, with a 50 L round chamber and five baskets, and the electric DLZMDN6-C12 gives the same six baskets with a 28 L tank.

Good to know before you buy:

• Installation: needs a 3-phase 415 V supply (3P+E) and must be connected by a licensed electrician, to AS/NZS 3000. The water and waste lines need a licensed plumber. We supply the equipment only.
• Access: delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises. Check doorways for a 400 x 750 x 905 mm unit, about 60 kg.
• Options: B+S also offers a 400 x 50 plinth kit, non-swivel rear castors (set of two) and coloured front and door panels in red or royal blue. Ask us for a price.

Common questions:

Can I cook pasta in it?
This is a noodle cooker, supplied with noodle baskets. The SCooker electric range has a separate pasta cooker with pasta baskets, so ask us if pasta will be your main use.

How does it cope with starch through a busy shift?
The overflow carries impurities away as you top up, using the spindle-controlled faucet. The 1 inch drain lets you empty the tank when you change the water.

Will it sit level with my other SCooker units?
At 750 mm deep and 905 mm high it matches the SCooker griddles, the 400 mm induction fryer and the bain marie. The SCooker induction woks and stock pot stand at 1300 mm, so they will rise above it.
