Spidocook SPE-SP200 - Spidoflat Glass Ceramic Electric Griddle, 280 x 440mm, 15A
Spidoflat is Spidocook's flat glass-ceramic grill, made for cooking meats, fish, eggs, bread and vegetables on an open plate rather than in a press. The SPE-SP200 is the single-size model, with a 280 x 440mm cooking surface that reaches up to 400°C on 2.5kW from a 15 amp plug. The heating filament is shaped to spread heat across the whole plate, and at 10 kg and 129mm high it suits cafes, kiosks, open kitchens and catering setups where space is tight. The SPE-SP300 is the double-width version.
Key features:
- 280 x 440mm glass-ceramic cooking surface, up to 400°C
- Infrared heating for faster heat-up and lower energy use
- Uniform heat across the entire surface, so you can use the whole plate without hot spots
- Simostat energy regulator gives finer temperature control than a standard thermostat
- Non-stick, non-porous glass ceramic leaves no food residue, cutting smoke and taste transfer
- Removable steel drawer collects liquids and fats
- Strong, durable surface that is quick to clean
- Made in Italy

Good to know before you buy:
- Power: the SPE-SP200 has a 15 amp plug, so it needs a 15 amp power point. Standard power points are 10 amp; a licensed electrician can fit a 15 amp outlet if needed. We supply the equipment only.
- Bench space: it is 398mm wide but 654mm deep, so check your bench depth before ordering.
- Ventilation: extraction rules for cooking equipment depend on your site and local council, so check what applies before you set it up.

Common questions:
Is this a sandwich press?
No. Spidoflat is a flat glass-ceramic grill that cooks on one plate. If you want to cook from top and bottom at once, look at the Spidoglass presses or the BBQ Master.
How is the temperature controlled?
With a Simostat energy regulator rather than a thermostat, which Spidocook says gives greater temperature control.
Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. It plugs into a 15 amp power point; if you need one fitted, use a licensed electrician in your area.
