Product details

Anvil TSS2000 - Single Panini Press, Ribbed Top & Flat Bottom

The Anvil TSS2000 is a single panini press with heavy-duty cast iron plates: a ribbed top for classic grill marks and a flat bottom that keeps fillings in place. The spring-loaded, self-balancing top plate adjusts to the thickness of whatever you're pressing, from a thin wrap to a loaded panini, and the thermostat goes up to 300°C. It suits cafes and sandwich bars; the TSS2001 is the same press with flat plates top and bottom.

Key features:

  • Ribbed top plate and flat bottom plate, heavy-duty cast iron
  • Nanocoated plates with a 340 x 225mm cooking surface
  • Spring-loaded, self-balancing top plate that suits any food thickness
  • Thermostatically controlled up to 300°C
  • Heat-resistant handle
  • Stainless steel body
  • Removable drip tray

Specifications:

  • Model: Anvil TSS2000
  • Plates: ribbed top, flat bottom, nanocoated cast iron
  • Cooking surface: 340 x 225mm
  • Temperature: up to 300°C (thermostatic)
  • Dimensions: 410 W x 378 D x 205 H mm (including handle)
  • Height when open: 520mm
  • Weight: 22 kg
  • Power: 240V, 2.2 kW
  • Origin: China
  • Packed size for delivery: 510 W x 440 D x 250 H mm

Good to know before you buy:

  • Clearance: it needs 520mm of height when the lid is open, so check under any overhead shelves.
  • Power: runs on 240V power and is rated at 2.2 kW. ICE doesn't list a 15 A requirement for this single model.
  • Weight: at 22 kg, it needs a sturdy bench.

Compare similar models:

  • Anvil TSS2001: same single press with flat top and bottom plates
  • Anvil TSS3000: double version, 480 x 225mm cooking surface, 15 A
  • Anvil TSA1009: lighter sandwich press with cast aluminium flat plates

Common questions:

Ribbed or flat: which should I choose?
The ribbed top gives grill marks on paninis and focaccias. If you'd rather have an even, flat finish on toasties and wraps, the flat-plate TSS2001 may suit better.

How hot does it get?
It is thermostatically controlled up to 300°C.

Does it handle thick sandwiches?
Yes. The top plate is spring-loaded and self-balancing, so it adjusts to the thickness of the food.

Warranty: 12 months, back to base, through ICE, Anvil's Australian distributor. Back to base means that if a warranty fault comes up, the unit is returned to ICE to be assessed, rather than being looked at on site.
