Turbo Air KR65-6G-N - 6 Half Glass Door Upright Fridge 1900mm 1868L

Three half doors on top and three below: the Turbo Air KR65-6G-N divides a 1900 mm glass door fridge into six smaller openings. That suits kitchens that run several stations from one fridge, as each person can open just their own door instead of a full-height section. You get 1868 litres at 1°C to 8°C on 9 adjustable shelves, LED lighting and R290 refrigerant, all on a standard 10 amp plug. If you prefer fewer, larger doors, the three-door KR65-3G-N has the same footprint and 8 litres more storage.

Key features:

  • Six half glass doors, so you open only one-sixth of the front at a time
  • LED interior lighting to see stock behind every door
  • 1868 litres held at 1°C to 8°C with fan cooling
  • 9 adjustable heavy-duty PE-coated wire shelves, rated at 50 kg
  • Turbo Air's patented self-cleaning condenser, with a rotating brush that keeps dust off the condenser
  • Turbo Cooling & Freeze for a fast pull-down: the compressor runs continuously for up to two hours
  • Digital temperature control and monitor system
  • Drain water evaporation system, so Turbo Air says no extra drain is needed
  • Stainless steel inside and out, recessed handles, magnetic gaskets, top-mounted R290 system on castors

Good to know before you buy:

  • Access: at 1900 mm wide, 1926 mm tall and 177 kg, plan the path from the street to its final spot. Turbo Air's catalogue gives the depth as 860 mm and the price list as 850 mm, so allow 860 mm. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises; standard delivery doesn't include bringing it inside, up stairs or unpacking.
  • Power: plugs into a standard 10 amp outlet (single phase 220–240 V) and draws 3.0 full load amps.
  • Energy: Turbo Air quotes 6.2 kWh per 24 hours here, against 3.84 kWh for the solid six half door KR65-6-N.
  • Airflow: keep the area above the cabinet clear for the top-mounted compressor.

Common questions:

Six half doors or three full doors: which should I choose?
Storage is almost the same (1868 litres here, 1876 litres in the KR65-3G-N). Half doors let you open a smaller part of the fridge, which suits several people working from it at once. Full-height doors let you see and reach a whole section in one go.

How much energy does it use?
Turbo Air quotes 6.2 kWh per 24 hours, which works out to about 2263 kWh a year.

Does it need a drain or a special power point?
Neither. It plugs into a standard 10 amp outlet, and Turbo Air says its drain water evaporation system removes the need for an extra drain. We supply the equipment only.
