Ice cream cakes need to stay hard-frozen and still look good through the glass, and the Bonvue FICL-830V is built for exactly that. This 900mm upright display holds -16°C to -18°C with low-temperature air-curtain cooling, behind triple-layer tempered glass that is electrically heated to stop fogging. Adjustable clear glass shelves each have their own LED lighting, and staff restock through insulated double doors at the back. The FICL-840V is the 1200mm version for a bigger range.

Good to know before you buy:

• Access: the unit is 900mm wide, 800mm deep and 1350mm high, and weighs 200 kg. FED doesn't publish a packed size, so allow extra room for packaging when you check doorways. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises; standard delivery doesn't include bringing it inside, up stairs or unpacking.
• Airflow: heat leaves through the front panel and rear grille, so keep both clear and leave space behind the cabinet.
• Room conditions: rated for up to 32°C and 60% humidity.
• Power: plugs into a standard 10 A power point.
