FED-X XCB-36 - Two Drawer Refrigerated Chef Base 924mm 184L
The FED-X XCB-36 is the smallest chef base in the FED-X range: a low, 658mm-high refrigerated drawer unit that sits under countertop cooking equipment so chilled ingredients are right at the cook line. FED designed the XCB range to carry its Gasmax countertop equipment. Two 530mm-deep drawers take GN pans up to 100mm deep, and fan-forced cooling holds -1°C to +5°C. At 924mm wide it is the compact choice, while the XCB-48, XCB-60 and XCB-72 cover longer cook lines.

Good to know before you buy:
- GN pans needed: FED says GN pans are required to use the drawers, and they are sold separately.
- Clearances: FED specifies 50mm of space at the top and sides, with no rear clearance needed.
- Room temperature: rated to 32°C, so keep the vents clear and don't let hot appliance exhaust blow straight onto it.
- Power: plugs into a standard 10 A power point.

Common questions:
Are GN pans included?
No. The drawers are designed around 1/3 and 1/6 GN pans up to 100mm deep, and FED notes pans are required to use the unit. Ask us about pans to suit.
Can I put a griddle or char grill on top?
That is what it is designed for. FED built the XCB range to carry its Gasmax countertop cooking equipment. Check the size and weight of your appliance against the top before you order.
Do you install it?
It plugs into a 10 A power point. Any gas appliance you put on top must be connected by a licensed gas fitter. We supply the equipment only.
