FED-X XCB-48 - Two Drawer Refrigerated Chef Base 1228mm 272L
At 1228mm wide, the FED-X XCB-48 gives you a longer refrigerated base for the cook line, with two wide 530mm-deep drawers under a raised-edge top built to carry countertop cooking equipment. FED designed the XCB range to suit its Gasmax countertop gear. Fan-forced cooling holds -1°C to +5°C, the drawers glide on Austrian Fulterer runners, and the unit stands just 658mm high. In the range, it sits between the 924mm XCB-36 and the 1524mm XCB-60.

Good to know before you buy:
- Pans: GN pans are needed to use the drawers and are not included.
- Clearances: allow 50mm at the top and sides. FED says no rear clearance is required.
- Power: a standard 10 A power point.
- Access: the carton is 1294 x 886 x 725 mm, delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises. Standard delivery doesn't include bringing it inside, up stairs or unpacking.

Common questions:
What pans fit the drawers?
FED designed the drawer supports for 1/3 and 1/6 GN pans up to 100mm deep, in a range of layouts. Pans are sold separately.
Will it handle the heat under a grill?
FED rates it for kitchens up to 32°C and tropicalises it for Australian conditions. Keep the vents clear and give it the 50mm side and top clearance FED specifies.
Do you install it?
The chef base itself just plugs into a 10 A power point. If you put a gas appliance on top, a licensed gas fitter must connect it. We supply the equipment only.
