The SCooker DLGB6N-C14D4 is a six zone infrared electric cooktop for restaurants running several pans at once on a glass top. It is 1200 mm wide, with six 2.4 kW zones for 14.4 kW in total. It is the largest SCooker infrared top without an oven, with three times the zones of the DLGB2N-C4D8, and it draws less supply than the six zone induction HLBZ6N-C21.

Good to know before you buy:

• Installation: must be connected by a licensed electrician, to AS/NZS 3000. It needs a 3-phase supply. We supply the equipment only.
• Access: delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises. Check doorways for a 1200 x 750 x 905 mm unit, about 90 kg.
• Options: B+S also offers a 1200 x 50 mm plinth kit, coloured front and door panels (red or royal blue) and non-swivel rear castors (set of two). Ask us for a price.

Common questions:

How does the power compare with induction?
This top draws 22 A per phase at 14.4 kW. The six zone induction model draws 32 A at 21 kW. If your switchboard is tight, your electrician can tell you whether that difference matters at your site.

Should I get the version with the oven?
The DLGBJ6N-C19D4 takes the same floor space and adds a GN 1/1 oven. It weighs 140 kg against 90 kg here, and draws 36 A per phase against 22 A.

How big a pan suits each zone?
Each glass plate is 300 x 300 mm, but the heating section is a 200 mm circle, so a pan close to that size makes the most of the heat.
