The Simco Hood DH1800-750D is the 1800mm-wide version of Simco's ductless exhaust system, giving you a longer 620mm-high bench for electric appliances under a filtered stainless steel hood. Air is drawn through honeycomb, polyester and carbon filters rather than ducted outside, which suits shopping-centre tenancies, cafes and kiosks where a traditional canopy is difficult. It is 300mm wider than the DH1500 models, with the shallower 750mm depth.

• Access: packed it is 1850mm long, 800mm deep, 1500mm tall and 270 kg. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises, so check doorways, corridors and lifts.
• Appliances: Simco rates it for electric appliances up to 8 kW each, with up to 3 or 4 appliances in total.
• Power: the motor draws 1.4 A. Your appliances need their own suitable power, and hard-wired or three-phase connections must be done by a licensed electrician. We supply the equipment only.
• Filters: budget for a new polyester filter every 8–12 weeks and a carbon filter every 12 months.
