Brenner BREE8-400IC - Volt 800 Series 2 Zone Induction Cooktop with Undershelf
The Brenner BREE8-400IC is a slim freestanding induction cooktop, only 355mm wide, with two 5 kW zones and an open undershelf for pans and stock. Induction heats the pan directly, so it is quick and puts far less heat into the kitchen than gas or radiant elements. It suits cafes and restaurants adding a couple of fast burners to a line, and is the smallest of the three Volt 800 induction cooktops.

Good to know before you buy:
- Power: it needs a 415V three-phase supply, which must be connected by a licensed electrician. We supply the equipment only.
- Cookware: induction only works with magnetic-based pots and pans, such as cast iron or induction-rated stainless steel.
- Doors: this model has an open undershelf and is not compatible with the Volt door kit. The 600mm and 900mm models can take optional doors.
- Access: packed at 480 x 880 x 1230 mm. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises; standard delivery doesn't include bringing it inside, up stairs or unpacking.

Common questions:
Will my existing pans work?
Only if they are magnetic. Cast iron and induction-rated stainless steel work. Aluminium, copper and glass pans won't heat on induction.
Can I add doors to the undershelf?
No. FED says the BREE8-400IC's open undershelf is not compatible with the door kit. Choose the BREE8-600IC or BREE8-900IC if you want an enclosed base.
Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. It must be connected by a licensed electrician in your area.
