For kitchens that want variable speed and a hard-wearing bowl, the P4U-PV201S combines a 2.6 litre AISI 304 stainless steel cutter mixer with a lever-fed vegetable slicer on one PREP4YOU base. Nine speeds from 500 to 3600 rpm and a 750 W motor give you control from rough chopping to smooth sauces, and the slicer head takes care of slicing, grating and julienne. Compared with the PV201 it swaps the clear copolyester bowl for stainless steel; compared with the PV301S3 it has the smaller 2.6 litre bowl.

Good to know before you buy:

• Power: plugs into a standard 10 A power point.
• Disc size: takes 175 mm PREP4YOU discs and grids only. The 205 mm TRS and TRK discs do not fit.
• Extras: FED also lists spare bowls and a smooth-blade rotor for the 2.6 litre cutter. Ask us if you want one.

Common questions:

Can I run the slicer and the cutter at the same time?
No. It is one motor base: you fit either the slicer head or the cutter bowl, depending on the job.

Which discs come with it?
FED lists three 175 mm discs as included: 2 mm slicer, 5 mm slicer and 3 mm grater. Dicing grids and other discs are optional.

Is it easy to clean?
Yes. Every part that touches food comes off without tools and can go in the dishwasher, and the control panel is waterproof.
