Fiamma CG 6 SS - Duplex Contact Grill, 370 x 250mm Plates, 15A

Fiamma CG 6 SS - Duplex Contact Grill, 370 x 250mm Plates, 15A

The Fiamma CG 6 SS is a stainless steel Duplex contact grill with smooth upper and lower plates and a 370 x 250 mm cooking surface. It suits cafes, sandwich bars and takeaways that toast more sandwiches and paninis at a time than a compact grill allows. It uses the same Duplex plates as the CG 4 SS, but with a plate about 50% wider and 3 kW of power, so it needs a 15 amp power point. The GR 8.2L is the cast iron, grooved-top option.

Compare similar models:

• CG 4 SS: smaller 250 x 250 mm plate, 1.7 kW on a standard 10 amp plug.
• GR 8.2L: cast iron plates with two grooved top plates over a 550 x 245 mm base, 37 kg.

Common questions:

CG 6 SS or CG 4 SS?
If you toast one or two items at a time and only have 10 amp power at the bench, the CG 4 SS is enough. If you want the bigger 370 x 250 mm plate and have a 15 amp power point, choose the CG 6 SS.

Smooth or grooved plates?
Both plates are smooth, which suits toasted sandwiches and flat products. For grooved top plates, choose the GR 8.2L.

What does Duplex mean?
Each plate has an aluminium inner layer, chosen for how well it conducts heat, and a stainless steel outer layer that gives a reliable, hard-wearing work surface.
