It's a 1800mm high, four-tier starter kit with vented composite shelf plates on poly-coated steel posts, rated at 250kg per shelf and suited to sub-zero storage. The deeper 610mm shelves suit larger cartons, crates and bulk stock. For a slimmer footprint, the PCU18/48 is the same width at 455mm deep.

Good to know before you buy:

• Access: the carton is 700 x 1300 x 1900 mm, so check your doorways, corridors and any tight corners for the 1900mm length. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises; standard delivery doesn't include bringing it inside or unpacking.
• What's included: this is the starter kit for one four-tier unit with adjustable feet. Castors (5 inch, with or without brake, sold individually), corner connectors and the PCA24/48 add-on unit are extra.
• Going mobile: on castors the whole unit is rated to 300kg in total, far less than four fully loaded shelves, so lighten the load if you fit wheels.
• Space: the assembled unit needs 1220 x 610mm of floor space and 1800mm of height. In a coolroom, keep it clear of the evaporator fan so cold air can circulate.

Use the matching PCA24/48 add-on unit to extend the run, and corner connectors to make an L-shape. In a corner unit each shelf is rated to 200kg. Ask us about the add-on parts.

What's the difference between PCU and PCA kits?
PCU kits like this one are the starter units. PCA kits are the matching add-on units, so the PCA24/48 is the one to pair with this 1220mm kit.

Can the shelf plates go through the dishwasher?
Yes. FED says the vented shelf plates on the PCU24/48 can be washed in a dishwasher, and they contain an antibacterial agent.
