Turbo Air KF25-1-N - 1 Door Upright Freezer 640mm 574L

The Turbo Air KF25-1-N fits 574 litres of freezer space into a cabinet just 640 mm wide, behind one full-height stainless steel door that opens the whole freezer at once. It holds -21°C to -12°C, uses R290 natural refrigerant and runs from a standard 10 amp plug at 2.5 A full load. Pick it over the KF25-2-N if you mostly load bulky cartons and want one big opening rather than two half doors, or over the KF25-1P-N if you want flat shelves instead of bakery tray racks.

Key features:

  • 574 litres behind a single full-height solid door, on 3 adjustable heavy-duty (50 kg) PE-coated wire shelves
  • Holds -21°C to -12°C, with fan cooling to spread cold air evenly through the cabinet
  • Patented self-cleaning condenser: a rotating brush sweeps the condenser 2 to 3 times a day so dust doesn't build up and make the compressor work harder
  • Turbo Cooling & Freeze runs the compressor continuously for up to two hours to pull the temperature down after a big delivery
  • Digital temperature control and monitor system
  • Top-mounted refrigeration unit using R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant
  • Stainless steel exterior and interior, recessed easy-grip handle and magnetic door gasket
  • Condensate system that Turbo Air says saves energy and removes the need for an extra drain
  • Sits on castors, so you can roll it out to clean behind and underneath

Good to know before you buy:

  • Access: the freezer is 640 mm wide, 860 mm deep and 1926 mm high on its castors, and weighs 80 kg. Turbo Air's price list shows the depth as 850 mm, but plan around the catalogue's 860 mm. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises and doesn't include bringing it inside, up stairs or unpacking, so check your doorways and corners first.
  • Power: plugs into a standard 10 amp outlet (220–240 V single phase) and draws 2.5 A at full load.
  • Airflow: the refrigeration unit sits on top of the cabinet. Leave space above it and don't store boxes on the roof, so the condenser can release its heat.

Common questions:

What does the -N at the end of the model code mean?
It marks the current version of this freezer, which runs on R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. Turbo Air's catalogue lists the same model as KF25-1(HC).

Does it need a drain?
No extra drain is needed. Turbo Air uses the condensate water to help cool the hottest part of the refrigeration pipework, which it says saves energy and keeps water off your floor. It simply plugs into a 10 amp power point. We supply the equipment only.

Should I choose one full door or two half doors?
One door suits big cartons and bulk stock loaded in one go. The KF25-2-N's half doors let you open only the top or bottom section, so less cold air escapes during service. Both are the same size and draw the same 2.5 A at full load.
