For a sandwich bar, cafe or kiosk with only a short run of bench, the Turbo Air KHR9-1-N fits a lidded pan rail and 213 litres of chilled storage into a 900 mm footprint. Chill air is blown over the pans on top, and the hood lid closes over them between rushes. It arrives ready to work, with 8 x 1/6 GN pans and a full-length chopping board included. The KSR9-1-N is the same size without the hood lid and comes without pans.

Good to know before you buy:

• Hood clearance: the lid needs 1146 mm of height to open fully (on castors). Check that a shelf or wall cupboard above the bench will not get in its way.
• Access: it is 900 mm wide, 700 mm deep and weighs 75 kg, so check your doorways. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises and does not include bringing it inside or unpacking.
• Power: plugs into a standard 10 amp outlet and draws 1.5 A.
• Airflow: front breathing lets it work in a tight space, but keep the front grille clear so it can breathe.

Are the pans and chopping board included?
Yes. It comes with 8 x 1/6 GN pans, 100 mm deep, and an 897 x 240 mm chopping board. The rail also takes deeper pans, up to 150 mm.

How is it different from the KSR9-1-N?
Both are 900 mm wide and hold 213 litres at 1°C to 8°C. The KHR9-1-N adds the hood lid and chill air over the pans, and includes pans and a board. Turbo Air quotes 4.83 kWh per 24 hours for this model against 5.12 kWh for the KSR9-1-N.

Do you install it?
There is nothing to install. It plugs into a standard 10 amp outlet, and Turbo Air says its condensate system removes the need for an extra drain. We supply the equipment only.
