Williams Banksia HSP18UBA - 1 Door White Colorbond Prep Counter Fridge With Angled Blown Air Well 1118mm 250L

The Williams Banksia HSP18UBA is a single door prep counter with a sloped, angled blown-air well that tilts 18 x 1/6 GN pans towards the customer, so it suits salad bars, sandwich counters and cafes where people choose their fillings at the counter. The pans come in two depths (65mm and 100mm) for different ingredients, and 250 litres of chilled storage sits behind a self-closing solid door below. It holds +1°C to +4°C from a 10 amp plug and is made in Australia. The HSP30UBA is the two door, 30 pan version; the HSP3UBA has a flat well for full-size 1/1 pans; and the HSP18UBASS is this counter in stainless steel.

Key features:

  • Angled blown-air well with 18 x 1/6 GN pans included (a mix of 65mm and 100mm deep), sloped for better presentation
  • Refrigerated air over and under all pans, in a fully enclosed stainless steel well
  • 250 litres of storage behind a self-closing solid door with a plastic-coated shelf
  • Holds +1°C to +4°C, with a high ambient rating for hard-working kitchens
  • CoolSmart electronic controller for even temperatures and energy efficiency
  • Square glass canopy with rear sliding polycarbonate covers (With canopy option), plus a 10mm polypropylene cutting board
  • 4622 grade stainless steel worktop and removable blown-air ducts for easy cleaning
  • Forced-air refrigeration in a removable cassette for easy servicing
  • Waste heat recovery vaporiser, so no drain is needed; swivel and brake castors, threaded for a changeover to legs

Good to know before you buy:

  • Canopy: Williams requires a canopy on Banksia counters, fitted by Williams or someone else. Choose With canopy for the square glass canopy with rear sliding covers. If you choose Without canopy (HSP18UBA-000-N), you must fit your own, or the warranty is affected.
  • Access: the counter is 1118mm wide, 880mm deep and 907mm high on castors, and weighs 160 kg. It is delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises, so check doorways and the route in.
  • Power: plugs into a standard 10 amp power point with a 2 m cable. No electrician is needed.
  • Airflow: keep the front condenser grille clear and wash the filter regularly. If the counter is built into joinery, allow a duct opening for the condenser exhaust.
  • Drain: none needed. The vaporiser evaporates defrost water.

Common questions:

Why is the well angled?
The sloped top tilts the pans towards the customer side, so fillings are easier to see and serve from across the counter. It also gives you a cutting board and worktop on the operator side.

Do I have to have the canopy?
Williams states that Banksia models require a canopy, either its own or one fitted by others, and that running the counter without one affects the warranty. Most buyers choose With canopy.

Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. The counter plugs into a standard 10 amp power point, so no trade is needed to connect it.

Warranty: Williams 24-month parts and labour warranty from the date of invoice on this self-contained unit, carried out by Williams authorised service agents on the Australian mainland. Warranty repairs must be logged with Williams first. A canopy must be fitted (by Williams or others) or the warranty is affected.
