Blizzard FWIC-54C - Crescent Ice Maker 54kg/24hr
Crescent ice is a good all-rounder: it melts slowly, keeps drinks cold with less dilution and looks clear in the glass, so it works for soft drinks, cocktails and mocktails alike. The Blizzard FWIC-54C is a flowing-water type crescent ice maker that makes up to 54kg a day with 30kg of storage, and its upward sliding door needs less room in front than a swing door. It is the compact crescent option in the Blizzard range, below the 95kg SN-80C.
Key features:
- Crescent ice, about 30 x 38 x 13mm, slow melting with clear presentation
- Up to 54kg of ice per 24 hours, with 30kg of storage
- Flowing-water type ice making
- Fully automatic, with auto stop and a low water alarm
- Upward sliding door needs less front clearance than a swing door
- R290 natural refrigerant
- Stainless steel body

Good to know before you buy:
- Water and drain: it needs a cold water supply and a drain, connected by a licensed plumber. FED recommends a water filter (ask us about the WFI37000 filter kit). We supply the equipment only.
- Front clearance: the door slides upward, which helps in tight bar areas where a swing door would get in the way.
- Power: runs on a standard 240V, 10 A supply.
- Maintenance: FED advises that ice machines must be maintained. Change the water filter cartridge every 6 months and descale the unit. If the ice machine is not maintained, the warranty may be void.
Compare similar models:
- Blizzard SN-80C: crescent ice, up to 95kg a day, 40kg storage
- Blizzard SN-145C: crescent ice maker head with a 140kg bin for high volume
- Blizzard SIC-40L: crystal-clear 50mm square cubes, 40kg a day
- Blizzard SIC-63R: octagonal cylinder ice, 63kg a day, same width
Common questions:
What is crescent ice good for?
It melts slowly and keeps drinks cooler for longer with less dilution, so it suits soft drinks, cocktails and mocktails.
Why a sliding door?
The door slides up instead of swinging out, so you need less clear space in front of the machine.
Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. It must be connected to water and drain by a licensed plumber in your area.
