Blizzard SN-258N - Nugget Chewblet Ice Maker 250kg/24hr
Nugget ice, also called chewblet ice, is soft and chewable, cools drinks quickly and packs around them well, which is why quick-service restaurants, beverage venues and healthcare sites like it. The Blizzard SN-258N averages 250kg of nugget ice a day with about 125kg of storage, from a 560mm wide, air-cooled cabinet on a 10 A supply. It is the same size machine as the SN-258F, which makes granular ice instead.
Key features:
- Average output of 250kg of nugget (chewblet) ice per 24 hours
- About 125kg of storage
- Soft, chewable ice that cools drinks fast
- Space-saving 560mm wide cabinet with stainless steel exterior
- Easy-to-reach on/off switch
- Modular design that is easy to move and maintain
- Air-cooled, with a fully automatic PLC control system
- German ebm-papst fans, U.S. Morrill water pump, Danfoss expansion valve and Saginomiya valves

Good to know before you buy:
- Access: the unit is 1795mm tall and well over 100 kg. It is delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises and doesn't include moving it inside, so check doorways and arrange help.
- Water and drain: it needs a cold water supply and a drain, connected by a licensed plumber. FED recommends a water filter (ask us about filter options). We supply the equipment only.
- Power: runs on a standard 10 A supply (1180W).
- Maintenance: FED advises that ice machines must be maintained. Change the water filter cartridge every 6 months and descale the unit. If the ice machine is not maintained, the warranty may be void.
Compare similar models:
- Blizzard SN-258F: same size and output, hard granular ice for food displays
- Blizzard SN-369D: countertop nugget ice and water dispenser, 166kg a day
- Blizzard SN-229D: compact countertop nugget ice and water dispenser, 100kg a day
Common questions:
What is chewblet ice?
It is another name for nugget ice: small, soft pieces that are easy to chew and cool drinks faster than standard cubes.
Do I need a self-serve dispenser instead?
If staff scoop the ice, the SN-258N's 125kg store suits high volume. For self-serve ice and water on a counter, look at the SN-229D or SN-369D dispensers.
Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. It must be connected to water and drain by a licensed plumber in your area.

Warranty: 2 years parts and labour.
