The Blizzard SN-280C is the largest crescent ice maker in the Blizzard range, built for hotels, clubs, function centres and large venues. It is a modular unit: an ice maker head on a separate storage bin that holds about 200kg, and FED's current specifications rate it at up to 324kg of 13 x 30 x 35mm crescent ice a day. Even at this output it runs on a 240V, 10 A supply, and the head can also be fitted to the SD-130B hands-free dispenser.

Good to know before you buy:

• Access: it arrives in two cartons, the bin at 825 x 925 x 1110mm and the head at 85 kg. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises and doesn't include bringing it inside, so plan for help moving it.
• Water and drain: it needs a cold water supply and a drain, connected by a licensed plumber. FED recommends a water filter (ask us about the WFI37000 filter kit). We supply the equipment only.
• Space: the assembled unit is 1810mm high and 760mm wide, so check ceiling height and doorways.
• Maintenance: FED advises that ice machines must be maintained. Change the water filter cartridge every 6 months and descale the unit. If the ice machine is not maintained, the warranty may be void.

Common questions:

Is the bin included?
Yes. The SN-280C comes as an ice maker head plus a storage bin of about 200kg. For hands-free dispensing, the head can go on the SD-130B dispenser (sold separately).

Does it need three-phase power?
No. FED lists it at 1850W on a 240V, 10 A supply.

Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. It must be connected to water and drain by a licensed plumber in your area.
