The FED-X XPZ3600TND is a 2020mm refrigerated pizza make-up bench with a marble worktop for stretching and shaping dough, and chilled storage right underneath. Instead of three doors, it combines two doors with a bank of seven shallow drawers, so toppings and prepped ingredients sit within arm's reach of the make-up line. Fan-forced cooling holds +2°C to +8°C in rooms up to 43°C, and FED lists it as compatible with its XVRX countertop salad bars for a chilled topping rail on top.

Good to know before you buy:

• Access: at 2020mm long, 800mm deep and 316 kg, this is a big, heavy unit. Measure every doorway and corner on the way in and plan for enough people or equipment to move it. It is delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises, and standard delivery doesn't include bringing it inside, up stairs or unpacking.
• Clearances: FED asks for 100mm of clearance and says all vents must be left clear.
• Power: it comes with a standard 240V 10 A plug.
• Topping rail: the XVRX countertop salad bars are sold separately.

Does it have a topping rail?
Not built in. FED lists the XVRX countertop salad bars as compatible, so you can add one on top. The 2000mm XVRX2000/380 or XVRX2000/380S suit the full length.

What size trays fit underneath?
It is designed for 400 x 600mm trays.

Will it cope with a hot pizza kitchen?
FED rates it for rooms up to 43°C at 60% relative humidity. Keep the 100mm clearance and the vents clear.
